iPhone 6 has joined the list of discontinued Apple phones. This phone will not receive any software updates from Apple after 8 years.
In 2018, Apple added the iPhone 5 to its list of older phones. And it retired the iPhone 6 Plus a few months ago, now it’s the iPhone 6’s turn. Apple’s first iPhone Plus was the curved iPhone 6 Plus. Edges instead of smooth edges.
Apple released the iPhone 6 model in 2014. And once again, iPhone 6 was launched in 2017 as a mid-range product in some countries. Now this company has decided to retire this phone after many years.
Since this phone is currently considered among the old phones, its repairs depended on the availability of sufficient parts. Apple usually accepts iPhone repairs up to 7 years after its release, provided parts are available.
The iPhone 6 appears to be among the devices that will be subject to battery repairs over the next two years, known as discontinued models.
Apple recently added the fifth-generation iPod Touch and the 2012 iPod Nano 7 to the discontinued list, but the 2015 iPod Nano is still among the oldies. It is expected that the iPhone 7 will be added to the list of old and obsolete phones early next year.
